Travel Guide Updates for Roswell, New Mexico
Here are additions and corrections to the information in Roswell, Your Travel Guide to the UFO Capital of the World!
We appreciate your help with this section. Please go to Contact Us to share your updates with us.

NMMI McBride Military Library (p 84)
Col. Jerry Klopfer, Coordinator of Historical Collections, advises that new exhibits now appear in the museum that "features artifacts from past cadets dating back to the early 1900s, including a reproduction of a cadet room from circa 1901. Other exhibits highlight the roles of women at NMMI, the influence of the horse in school history, and show the progression of academics. Featured in the Sports Exhibit is former cadet Roger Staubach's Dallas Cowboy uniform and former cadet Reggie Franklin's Harlem Globetrotters uniform. Leadership is represented with its own exhibit and the NMMI Hall of Fame."

OCha, a new Thai-Chinese restaurant (1303 West 2nd Street)
This addition to Roswell dining features special dishes like whole, deep fried tilapia and tom yum, a soup presented in a firepot, in addition to more common dishes. 622-2412. Open every day for lunch and dinner (same menu for both).

Cattle Baron Steak and Seafood Restaurant (p 35)
Sadly, the wonderfully delicious complimentary spread offered during Happy Hour has been discontinued, as has Happy Hour itself. Maybe when the Recession goes away . . .

NMMI Lusk Hall (p 85)
The confusing chiseled-in-stone inscriptions over the east and west wing entrances have been changed to more appropriate labels.

NMMI McBride Military Library (p 85)
Another sad note from Col. Klopfer: Sergeant Barney Leonard's Harley-Davidson mounted with a machine gun turns out to belong, not to NMMI, but to an alumnus who has reclaimed it, so it is unlikely to appear among the museum exhibits. Maybe he could be encouraged to reconsider . . .
